3rd base Tee-ball Module

The 3rd base Tee-ball module has been developed to cater for children’s introduction to the game of softball.   Tee-ball is a modified version of Softball with the most noticeable difference being that the batter hits the ball from a ‘tee’, therefore there is no need to hit a moving ball by the batter and there is no ‘pitching’ required from the fielding team.   Many of the basic skills however remain the same; catching, throwing, running, teamwork, communication and to a certain extent batting.    These skills need to be taught properly and practiced regularly.

The 3rd base Tee-ball module is not just about participation.  We have, and are, developing our module to provide the player and ‘supporter’ with the opportunity to develop their skill set and understanding of the game and with this, we believe, their enjoyment.   The game is one of fun but one should never take away the competitive nature that many children have and this should be fostered positively within the team and game environment.   Our module will bring a more ‘professional’ approach to the game from the on field set up, organisation, umpiring and opportunities for developing the skills of the players and coaches that will be available.   Not only will our competition provide a fun and structured time for the athletes on the day but it will provide a sound base for their pathway to the game of softball

3rd base have a partnership with ‘The Dugout’ (Easton Softball) and they will be involved in many ways with the competition both on game day and behind the scenes which will enhance and enable further opportunities for all participants regarding training aids and access to top quality gear.
